When The Only Way Is Essex returned this Sunday it had been an agonising 3 months… 86 days… 2,064 hours since the greatest show ever commissioned by ITV2 was last on our screens.That we know these numbers is not something to boast about, you might think. But regardless of whether or not it makes you want to gouge your eyes out with a spoon, we challenge you to find anyone of sound mind who doesn’t enjoy the show’s over-egged dialogue, 'unscripted' banter and bevy of aspiring glamour girls.
Take the delightful Lucy Mecklenburgh, for example. The now former (yes fellas, former) girlfriend of show lothario Mark Wright has reappeared for Series 2 and, judging by the laughable yet utterly brilliant I’m In Essex promotional video doing the rounds on YouTube, is looking even hotter this time around.
Plus, after seeing Mr Wright secretly cop off with the equally delightful Sam Faiers in the Series 1 finale in December, she’s out for revenge. 'It’s going to be explosive,' she tells ZOO.
'Episodes are longer, more characters have joined and I’ve definitely got something up my sleeve. I just can’t tell you what it is yet!' Guess that means we’ll have to tune in, then…
